Warning: mktime() [function.mktime]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. It's been a fairly quiet month poker wise. The PokerStrategy.org.uk bonus has been cleared bringing my bankroll there up to $167. I've also been dabbling in other forms of poker, in particular 5 Card Draw. This lead to my first ever proper MTT final table when I finished sixth in a $1 5 Card Draw tourney on Stars netting me a massive $8.
I've also been a semi regular attendant at the weekly BritBlogger tournie on PokerStars. My first entry was a bit of a disaster, going out first when I my top pair ran into a a perfectly played set. I didn't know this at the time, but the being first out I was meant to put a picture of a monkey on the blog as part of the "walk of shame".
My second and third entries were a bit better, finishing 5th and 6th although going out with AJ against 72o when the 72o made a straight on the river was a bit of a bugger. But that's poker I suppose.
So for the remainder of the month, I'm going to be focussing on 5 Card Draw cash games and making a dent on the PokerStars reload bonus.
