Yeah, I know it's almost May and this is me just getting round to doing my April update.
Despite the good start, April turned out to be a bad month.
The final "scores on the doors" were....(drum roll)..... a loss of $241. Although once bonuses and rakeback were included, it turned into a slight profit.
The main reasons for the loss are these:-
- Messing with LAGs at the £1/£2 Crypto tables (several times) - Loss of $156.10
- Taking a (with hindsight) stupid shot at $2/4 - Loss of $82 over 251 hands for a BB/100 of -8.24 (ouch)
So this has lead to much reflection. I always seem to have trouble on the £1/£2 tables. They are generally looser and more agressive than the $1/$2 tables at which I make a profit. While this is good for bonus clearing I haven't quite got the hang of adjusting to these tables. So I'll try to avoid these for a bit.
Taking shots at the $2/$4 and higher tables is something I do every now and again. On Crypto sites, this level helps clear the monthly bonuses much faster but the downside is, again, that the tables are more agressive and this is giving me bother. Again, I need to reign back on playing at these levels.
