After last week's good performance in the BritBloggerment, last night's was a shocker.
I played crap.
I won a nice pot early one when I limped UTG. The Button called and one of the blinds raised. I then reraised, representing a monster and both opponents laid it down. I think I had AQo, a wee monster.
Then I frittered away my stack on crap plays. I do seem to have a real problem laying down overcards when I miss the flop. I automatically assume that if somebody bets into me after I've raised preflop then they are just trying to steal the pot knowing that I've likley missed. And quite often they've actually hit and I'm way behind.
My bust out hand was like that. I had AQo in EP. I raised. The big stacked button calls. Flop comes all low cards. I check. He bets. I automatically reraise all-in. He calls. The button had a pair of 4s and the low flop also gave him an open ended straight draw. The most annoying thing was I did not even stop and think about what the button would call with. I was just so frustrated at having my big cards miss the flop again, that I tried to pull off a stupid move which was never going to work.
Idiot.
